Teen Patti Words You Will Hear

Teen Patti carries a small vocabulary of its own, and the words shift meaning depending on whether you are blind or seen. The terms below are the ones the table card and the dealer screen use. Read them once and the betting buttons make sense.

Blind hand

A blind hand is played without looking at your three cards. You bet at the lower blind stake and may look whenever you choose; after that you are a seen hand.

Boot amount

The boot amount is the small stake each seat puts into the pot before cards are dealt. Table cards show it in BDT, so you know the opening cost of a seat.

Seen hand

A seen hand means you have looked at your cards. Seen seats bet at roughly twice the blind stake, which is why the pot climbs once most of the table has looked.

Side show

A side show is a private comparison between two seats who agree to it. Their cards stay hidden from the rest of the table, and the weaker hand folds without a public show.

Pack

To pack is to fold. You leave the round, stakes you already put in stay in the pot, and you wait for the next deal instead of matching the current bet.

Show

The show is the final comparison between the seats still in. Hands run from three of a kind down to high card, and the strongest hand takes the pot.
